Tuesday 1st April

Not a good day.Was hoping to get lots done.Ha! some hope.Started the day with a trip to the dentist.Haven't had a dentist for about 3 years since we moved.But I had been having a few twinges so thought it was time to try and find a new NHS dentist.This proved easier than I thought it would be.Hubby went last week and was very impressed.I went today all was going swimmingly only took me about 10 minutes to get there ,managed to get parked OK and didn't have to wait hours to see the dentist.Did some X rays and decided that one of my wisdom teeth needed to come out.Time to do it know he asked his nurse.Yes she says.
Well this tooth was a little reluctant to leave me.Not quite the knee on the chest but nearly.Since the numbness has worn off I have been suffering all day .Feeling really sorry for myself.
Lets hope for a better day tomorrow.

Sunday 23rd March Snow and Amigurumi

Woke up this morning to a light scattering of snow.It carried on snowing for a while, heavily at times.By the evening it was all gone. We did go out for a short drive round the countryside as it all looked so pretty.
I finished my first attempt at Amigurumi today.A little cat. I think that the head is too big and it is all a bit wonky.I also did not have the correct eyes but couldn't wait until I could get to the shops.
On the whole, for a first attempt,I am quite pleased

Good Friday Simple Pleasures

There are some things that just make you feel good.Well if not good then just a little better.My coffee machine is one of these things.Not a big thing,doesn't change my life but lifts me.
We all need things like this.However busy or skint there should always be something just for you. Its all to do with balance.I am a great advocate of having a good life balance. Over the past years it has sometimes been the only thing that has kept me sane. Just a little time, or a little something for me

Sunday 16th March

Weekend started well with 3 sales of brooches (all to same customer) on Friday .Managed to get them in the post in the afternoon and the post office excelled itself by delivering them the next morning
Haven't done an awful lot else, however have made myself a little crafting apron.Will do if I ever do a craft fair as well.
MrS (with a bit of help from his friends) has started the work on the floor of the utility room and has done loads of painting as well.
Son's birthday this week.Can't believe I am the mother of a 24 year old.Think he wants money for some car bits.I also have a trip with school to Stansted Mountfitchet castle.Could be the last one of those I go on.I have Embroiderers Guild on Monday and patchwork group on Tuesday then quiz night Wednesday.It is going to be a busy week.

Holidays End

Well last day of half term today so back to work tomorrow.I have made the decision that I am leaving at Easter.Not sure what will come next .Bit scared,bit excited.

Have been a bit out of things for a couple of days with nasty sinus headaches which have been making me feel most unwell.Hoping to feel OK tonight as it is Embroiderers Guild meeting.

Happy Valentines Day

Yes it's that day again
Hubby didn't really appreciated the pill organiser that I bought him but I think it showed that I care.I did also buy him a Cd of the radios shows of Count Arthur Strong who is not to my taste at all so that shows I love him.

I have also got round to finishing my dolls.There is a Geisha ,Pierrott and Pierette.Great tutor down at Southend ,Julie Topsfield.Have also finished the sketchbook course under the equally great tutoring of Tricia North aka reform No finished product from that yet but lots of ideas and new directions to work on.


Have been thinking a lot of an old school friend who lost her husband last week.Very sad.



On the creative front I have made a few more badges.
