Happy Valentines Day

Yes it's that day again
Hubby didn't really appreciated the pill organiser that I bought him but I think it showed that I care.I did also buy him a Cd of the radios shows of Count Arthur Strong who is not to my taste at all so that shows I love him.

I have also got round to finishing my dolls.There is a Geisha ,Pierrott and Pierette.Great tutor down at Southend ,Julie Topsfield.Have also finished the sketchbook course under the equally great tutoring of Tricia North aka reform No finished product from that yet but lots of ideas and new directions to work on.


Have been thinking a lot of an old school friend who lost her husband last week.Very sad.



On the creative front I have made a few more badges.

Tuesday 29th January 2008 Plans afoot.

Changes to be made ,plans to work out.Watch this space.Don't think I can contemplate making a living full time from 'this 'but I need to do something different with my life.I have had a tricky couple of years, although we moved to a great house in an area we love,I have lost my mum and also my granddaughter to adoption.I feel like I have been treading water a bit.Thats not to say I have not achieved anything in this time.I have completed a City and Guilds in Patchwork and Quilting and also achieved HLTA status in my job but things are definately not right.So it's crossroads time,which way to go ???

Blue Monday

Today is supposed to be Blue Monday strange because I don't feel too bad today.
There has been a lot of blog talk on etsy recently which has made me realise that I have sadly neglected mine since setting it up.
I need to get some links up and running and I will do that.......just as soon as I work out how !!
Creatively not much has been going on recently.I am nearly at the end of a doll making course where I will have completed two clown dolls and a Geisha.Tutored by Julie Topsfield at Southend it has been good fun. Apart from the drive down there.
I have also started a short sketchbook course tutored by reform.I am hampered in this both by my lack of artistic ability and by an astonishing lack of imagination.I really need to find some new hobbies.I have always called myself an artisan rather than an artist.
I feel like making some clothes and also some bags ,watch this space but don't hold your breath.

Getting Near Crimble

Can't believe that I have left this sooooo long.Whats happened since my last blog.Not a huge amount of sales but a few which is better than none at all.Very much enjoying being a part of the UK etsy gang.Looking forward to the London meet up next weekend.Hope I can find my way there OK as it is a rare occasion for me to go to the big smoke.

On the etsy front I have been making some felt animal brooches,dogs and cats.I am also working on a Christmas swop item.The swap has been organised by the wonderful Coldcell.

Still have not had a play with my Gocco printer,the idea was that this years Christmas cards would be home made Gocco printed ones but I am running out of time (although I have not bought any either)

Most remiss haven't blogged for ages.Last weekend went to Festival of quilts at NEC my friend Nickie won a 2nd place in use of embroidery for her quilt so much excitement there. No more sales yet on etsy but ever hopeful Have listed a couple more things in my shop debsmuddle.etsy.com

Exhausted after a very hot and I mean very hot Sunday.Husband surprised me Thursday night with some complementary tickets, from work ,to see the World Superbike racing at Brands Hatch.Great day with James Toseland doing the double win.

Am trying a little knitting ,inspired by some of those very talented ladies on http://www.etsy.com/ with mixed success.Had a go at soap making on Friday complete disaster. I shall have to ask advice !
